Today i just ask Edmond about the jailbreaking for iOS 4.1. He gave me this link. Just to share it here.

I'm still using OS 3.1.3 and going to Jailbreak to OS 4.0.1.

This is the way papa ed teaches me.

1. Go to http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone4/061-8618.20100715.Zapn4/iPhone2,1_4.0.1_8A306_Restore.ipsw (download this and backup in itunes first)

2. How to backup in itunes? Just plug in your cable to iphone and open the itunes and it will automatic backing up your info to your PC first.

3. Once backup everything, in itunes, PRESS and HOLD SHIFT BUTTON (in ur keyboard) then click on RESTORE (in the itunes)Find the .ipsw file that u download it previously. Then click RESTORE.

4. There will be an Apple logo and a loading bar below the apple. If failed, try to change your cable to another USB port in your computer/laptop and try again. As i face this problem (show error occurs) once i change the usb port. everything fine.

5. Once everything done, follow what itunes/ iphone steps by steps (restore back the previous data that u backup in itunes - apps, emails, sms, photos, etc. Wait it sync to your iphone.

6. Then go to SETTING, SAFARI, CLEAR "cookies, history and cache" then use safari to open www.jailbreakme.com . Slide, and it will start jailbreak..


6. You can find Cydia at home screen. Go to Cydia

1. Launch Cydia
2. Click on “Manage” on the bottom of the Cydia screen
3. Select “Sources” from the Cydia screen.
4. Select “Edit” on the top right of the screen. (You should be on a list of sources).
5. Select “Add” from the top left of the screen.
6. Enter the following when prompted: ttp://cydia.hackulo.us
7. Press “Add Source“.
8. Once the source has been added, go to “Search” on the bottom of the Cydia window.
9. Type in “Installous” and continue.
10. Install “Installous” on your iPhone from Cydia.

7. If you have some apps still not yet sync into your iphone in previous sync, u can sync again and most apps will back to your iphone.

8. WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!! ANY PROBLEM on Jailbreak... NO NEED TO CALL ME.. hahaha
DON'T THINK I CAN HELP. IF YOU CANNOT DO IT WITH ABOVE STEPS... hahahha. SORRY!!

Today Papa ed teach me how to backup OS 4.0 as OS 4.1 is coming. Once they launch 4.1 i'm unable to backup 4.0.

What should i do??

1. go to http://thefirmwareumbrella.blogspot.com/ and Download TinyUmbrella.

2. Plug in your iphone to itunes as normal, then run 'tinyumbrealla' program, it should write Iphone 3.1.3.

3. Under the SAVE SHSH, choose ADVANCE OPTIONS, the choose Iphone 3GS 4.0 then choose SAVE SHSH

4. Then once done, you will see "written SHSH successful saved: [click here to open]"

5. Click the [click here to open] and it will show u the SHSH file. Keep this file.

hohoho... thanks to papa edmond teach me how to jailbreak my iphone. Before that i'm still worrying if i jailbreak my phone whether still keep my warranty from maxis? As i just bought my phone for about 2 months. Then papa ed teach me how to back up my SHSH so if any problem to my iphone, i can still claim my warranty.. Yahoo~~

I will just copy and paste what he tells me, to share with those who interested to jailbreak their phone. If you do not understand, can ask me but them dun expect i can help you.. hahahhaha coz i'm not papa edmond ma!!! hahahah

1. Go to run and type %appdata%\Apple Computer\iTunes
This is ur backup folder, make a copy of this folder… (just in case
Go to ur phone , copy out the photos as well (actually its included in the backup , double insurance)

2. save your shsh
Follow instruction here

Use the AUTOSHSH program.
Note: you might need to download java from www.java.com to run AUTO SHSH download the autoshsh first.. If it failed, then download java.
(on the step 2 i don't understand and edmond explain to me: HOLD ur HOME ROUND BUTTON + POWER BUTTON... until it suddenly go black, then RELEASE POWER BUTTON (still holding home button
then it will have a graphic of USB in ur iphone)

3. run the program first then plug ur phone into itunes, cancel the sync or backup

4. In Recovery Mode Screen (it shows a cable and a CD looking iTunes icon), press and hold power + home for about 10 seconds, this will shut the screen down. Let go of buttons!

5. If your iphone firmware not updated to 3.1.3 then u need to update 1st. then only can continue with Step 6.

6. Download the program from "http://www.spiritjb.com/ " (this is the official websites)
Run the program
Connect iPhone with your computer, Run “Spirit” and then Click on “Jailbreak”:
Note: IF there is an error msg, then Change the “Compatibility mode” to “Windows 98 / Windows Me” by right clicking on “Spirit.exe”, and then click on “Properties”

7. Let the app do its thing and wait for the app to show “Jailbreak Complete!” message. At this point, wait for the iPhone to automatically reboot.
After reboot, search or look for CYDIA.. If its there, meaning u have successful jailbreak ur phone. after this.. follow these steps to let u download PAID apps for free.

8. How to install Cracked app

1. Launch Cydia
2. Click on “Manage” on the bottom of the Cydia screen
3. Select “Sources” from the Cydia screen.
4. Select “Edit” on the top right of the screen. (You should be on a list of sources).
5. Select “Add” from the top left of the screen.
6. Enter the following when prompted: ttp://cydia.hackulo.us
7. Press “Add Source“.
8. Once the source has been added, go to “Search” on the bottom of the Cydia window.
9. Type in “Installous” and continue.
10. Install “Installous” on your iPhone from Cydia.
11. Go back to “Search” on the bottom of the Cydia window.
12. Type in “AppSync” and continue.
13. Install “AppSync for OS3.1“.
14. You will need to likely respring/restart your phone, so when Cydia prompts you to, just continue until you’re back to your iPhone home screen.
15. Find “Installous“ icon in ur iPhone main screen, and load the application.
16. Locate the Application you want from the Installous Browser (which browses Appulo.us).
17. Install and enjoy!

So happy that i just jailbreak my iphone by myself with help of papa edmond. Thanks for his help. After jailbreak, i've been busy searching for apps. I found out Iphone really can make life easier and can use it for many many things that can't help me in others phone. Below are some pages of my Iphone apps.

This is my photography apps which i mostly use it everyday. hahahaha... Apps like Super Camera and Camera Plus can take nice photos and you can took photo with flash. MoreBeaute i love it soooo much as this apps can smoothen your skin and you will looks great after edit with this. Most recent apps i use is Andigraf which you can took 4-9 photos and combined it together. I love this effect of those photo taken. For those who love to take self portrait, Snapful apps is a must for you!!

Above are the apps related to business ( my job). Some common apps like facebook, MSN, Skype are commonly used in iphone user. Besides, JotNot is a VERY useful app for me to SCAN document and email out/ Copy document for reference, etc. QuickOffice helps me to store all documents (word, excel, pdf, jpg...etc) which i can refer. Very user friendly and easy to drag file into iphone. VNC Viewer is a remote software in connecting another computer, if i have this apps, i can check out my company system even i'm at overseas/ at home.

Above all those games which i played. Some are really fun.

How To Take Screen Shot of the content inside the phone
Hold the "home" button, then hit the "power/sleep" button, the screen will momentarily flash, and the iPhone’s current screen contents will be saved to the Camera Roll. This works for Lockscreen and Springboard screenshot as well.

I've Tried and really work.

Trying to have some new ringtones for my Iphone but just dunno how to add those ringtone in. Thanks for Google search.. hahaha! I found a great tutorial website. Here to share with Iphone user:

Instructions:
1. Open iTunes (from your computer)
2. Find the song that you want to make into a ringtone
3. Listen to the song and find the part of it you want to use. The chorus may be a good place to start
4. Write down the start and stop times of the clip
5. Right-click the song and select "Get Info."
6. Click the "Options" tab.
7. Type in the start time of your ringtone in the text box next to "Start Time" in the minutes:seconds (i.e. 2:01) format
8. Type in the end time of your ringtone in the text box next to "Stop Time." Make sure the ringtone is no more than 40 seconds long
9. Click "OK."
10. Right-click your song again and select "Convert Selection to AAC." Wait for iTunes to convert your song. It will create a duplicate version
11. Right-click the ringtone and select "Delete."
12. Click on the "Keep Files" button
13. Find the file. It's usually in your User folder under Music > iTunes > iTunes Music and under the band's name. It will have an extension of "m4a."
14. Replace the "m4a" extension of your ringtone with "m4r". You can either double-click slowly to rename your file, or right-click and select "Get Info" on a Mac or "Rename" on a Windows PC
15. Click "Use .m4r" or the PC equivalent when the system warns you that the change may affect the use of your file.
16. Double-click the ringtone file. ITunes will automatically add it to your ringtones folder in your iTunes Music Library
17. Connect your iPhone and sync your ringtones

Everyone is talking about Iphone recently.. more and more friends around me is using Iphone as well... Make me sooooo addicted to it. hah!! Wish to get in cheaper price but source for quite some time also cannot get it! Finally i walk in to Maxis and grab one! That's not cheap but worth it!

I get an Iphone 3Gs at RM2490, the most expensive hp i ever owned.



I'm playing around sourcing for good apps for my iphone. What i get so far?
Facebook, Skype, WhatsApp, Morelomo, SuperCamera, Snapful (a great apps for self potrait), MoreBeaute (love it much to smoothen my skin of the photos), MoreMono. Games are Wildwest Guns, Cooking Mama, Cocoto Kart Racer, Bejeweled 2, Paper Toss, Popeye, and other apps like 1Malaysia (can view Live Traffic), Dictionary, CineApps (can view the showtimes in TGV. GSC)... all apps are cool!!

And i can DL an VNC apps to control my computer as well.. Tried! can log in but still not getting to master it! lolx~ Love it!~
