Another simple and nice wrapped soaps from Creature Comforts. This bring me some ideas on repackage those small gift. Wish to share it out here.

Project Time:
Around 15 minutes or less.

SUPPLIES:
-Rectangular bar of soap
-Decorative paper
-Ruler
-Cutting tool
-Double sided tape - permanent strength.
-Ribbon (optional)

You can Download the free label: HERE

DIRECTIONS:

Purchase a bar (or more if you'd like) of your favorite soap. Select the decorative paper that you'd like. You can use papers that you like as long as it is big enough, and not too thick (or flimsy).

Measure your soap bar: Length, width, and height. The length of your paper needs to equal 2 x width + 2 x height + an extra two inches or more of excess (you can trim or tuck it later if needed). The width of your paper will equal 1 x width + 2 x height.

Cut your paper to the correct size. You can use scissors, a craft knife, paper cutter... whichever is easiest for you.

Place your bar in the center of your prepared paper and begin creasing around it where each measurement falls (it's easiest to start with the two longest sides (as shown). This process will create nice sharp lines for you to work with and will give your finished package a really clean professional look. Feel free to move the bar if it gets in your way.

Once you have all your edges creased, place your bar back in the center (now you have a little grid to follow, courtesy of your crease work). Note how the excess paper folds over one side of your bar (see image), and also to the under side of the end flap (this will give a nice seamless edge when closed). Seal your package closed with double sided tape.

Fold in your end flaps as shown in the photo (just like wrapping a present) and seal closed with double sided tape. Be sure that your flaps close towards the bottom side (the side you just closed in the previous step).

Once all sides are secured, print out the free labels I created for this project (there are 9 labels in three colors - grey, aqua, and peach)...I left them blank so that you can write your own message. Wrap a band of complimentary ribbon around your bar and affix with double sided tape and then do the same with your label.

All done! You did it!

HAPPY D.I.Y!!

This is cute!! This can be done easily but just need time to do it. =)
Got this tutorial from Creature Comforts as well. This also can do it as a thank you gift for wedding. That's special enough right?

You can get this FREE VALENTINE'S PRINTABLE HERE!!

You will need:

color printer
standard weight paper
scissors
tea bags in the flavors of your choosing (the ones that come with strings and tags attached are best)
needle
embroidery or standard thread (I used white, but you can use any color you'd like)
Pen (for addressing your Valentine and noting the tea flavor)
For other methods of assembly (noted above) you may need (optional) tape, gluestick, or a sewing machine and thread.

Step-by-step tutorial:

1. Print the wrappers and tags and cut each one out. Gather your supplies.
2. Carefully remove the paper tag that came on your tea (leaving the string attached). Thread the string (that is attached to your teabag) through your needle. Stitch the heart tea tag onto the end of the string using one or two stitches and secure with a knot. Trim the end of the string if needed.
3. Fold your tea bag wrapper in half and write the tea flavor in the box on the back. Include your Valentine's name if you'd like.
4. Cut a length of embroidery floss about 38" in length and knot at the end. Thread onto your needle. Begin stitching your paper wrapper by inserting the needle into the bottom (folded edge) of your wrapper (with the knot on the inside). You can use any stitch that is comfortable to you. I stitched around the edge because I like the effect it gives.
5. Sew up the first side (do not cut the thread). Wrap the string (attached to your teabag) around your teabag so that the heart sits as shown.
6. Insert your teabag inside your wrapper and then carefully continue stitching until you've sewn all three sides. Knot at the end.
7. Give as is OR...
8. Present it with a teacup or mug that can be used over and over again.

I got this from Creature Comforts today. That's simple and nice. Recently i'm interested to DIY all this flower Pom, ribbons and gift wrapping. Source some useful info online and share it out here.

{DETAILS}
1. Draw a spiral on a 4x4" square sheet of paper
2. Cut out spiral along the lines you have drawn
3. Begin rolling up the spiral from the outside
4. Keep on rolling until there is no more left to roll
5. You're done.

Thanks real simple!!

I got another wonderful tutorial from oncewed as i thought is useful for me as my office is full of fabric swatches (all in small pc only). They will just throw it away, how nice if i can use those to do this.

Supplies: Scissors, needle and thread, fabric, and a pencil.

Step 1: Fold your fabric and use the spool of thread to trace a circle. Then cut the circles out.

Step 2: Take one circle and fold it in half.

Step 3: Take the half circle and fold it in half again.

Step 4: Then take your circle and stitch through the bottom. Continue this step, adding at least 6 circles on top of the first.

Step 5: Once you have sewn all 6 circles, connect the petals together by stitching through each one at the corners and then tying off the tread with a double knot.

Step 6: Next, cut 3 yards of thread and add on the flowers one by one.

I find out this wonderful tutorial from How About Orange on how to make your own gift bows using recycled paper. They're super easy and fast to make, and I think they look great!

In gift wrap emergencies when you've got the present but need some wrapping, here's an idea for turning a magazine page into a bow. (There may be better ways to stick this thing together, but I used what I had on hand: staples or Double stick tape would work, too.

Cut a magazine page lengthwise into 9 strips, 3/4" wide. Leave 3 of the strips full length. Cut one inch off 3 of the strips. Cut two inches off 2 of the strips. Cut the last strip down to 3 1/2" long.

Twist each strip to form a loop at both ends and staple it in the center. Shape the last, short strip into a circle and secure it with a glue dot.

Layer the 3 longest pieces on top of each other, spacing them evenly and securing each with a glue dot. Add the next two groups of pieces, doing the same. And finally, stick the loop into the center.

I will make one someday and update it here..=)

UPDATE!!

I just did 4 Gift Bow.

Not bad.... colorful.
